We shoot custom, high-resolution digital photos from the air and ground.

We use a Cessna 172, a high-wing light aircraft, which provides an excellent aerial photography platform. When an assignment requires it, we use a helicopter.

In order to accurately estimate the job properly, and to get exactly the right shot first time, we need to know all about the location, type of structure, the ultimate use of the photographs, and some other details.

Once we understand exactly what is needed, we provide a quote (how much and when). When the client has signed off on the work order confirming all the details, we plan the shoot. Factors involved in the planning include current and forecast weather, time of day needed (for best sun angle), urgency of the assignment, direction of primary face of subject property, and so on.

We then select the date and time most likely to deliver favorable results. If things don't go as planned -- due to an unexpected cloud, for example -- we adjust our schedule and go back up another time, until we've captured the shot as specified by the client and agreed upon in the work order.

We use Canon digital SLR cameras, paired with Canon's professional 'L' series lenses, for the highest quality, sharpest images possible. Images of 21.3 megapixels can be enlarged to poster-sized prints with no loss of sharpness or detail.

Once we've got the perfect shot, we go back to the studio and sort through the images, making certain that we have captured the subject as requested. We then send proof images to the client for approval.

Once the client approves the images, we proceed to the completion of the job, which can mean several things, depending on the intended use of the photos. We provide prints all the way up to poster sizes, as well as providing the digital images in any number of formats.

Once you purchase the photos, they are yours to use for internal company marketing and other usage, but are not to be resold or given to any third party. Macbeth Aerial retains the right to use the photos for self-promotional use, unless otherwise agreed in writing in advance.
